Financial Controller
Lead financial auditing, budgeting, and forecasting at Vulcan Labs. Partner with leadership to provide actionable insights, establish expense controls, and ensure compliance while driving financial health across our global mobile app portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed audits of internal financial practices, reporting systems and processes.
Examine documentation and data integrity, identify gaps or misalignments with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide recommendations on practice improvements, governance and controls.
Review revenue streams and spending across business units, analysing historical performance and identifying cost-drivers or revenue-leakages.
Provide a high-level view of company financial standing: growth drivers, expense trends, margin pressures.
Establish expense control frameworks: monitor spending, enforce policies, recommend reallocations.
Lead development and reconciliation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts; compare actuals vs plan, analyse variances and deliver actionable insights.
Build financial models (scenario planning, "what-if" analysis) to project future revenue, spend and financial health.
Prepare and present regular reports and dashboards to senior leadership and Board of Directors: key metrics, cost/spend patterns, cash-flow status, risk factors.
Translate financial insights into clear business recommendations and partner with non-finance stakeholders (e.g., Product, Marketing, Operations) to optimise ROI.
Partner with an accounting team to ensure data integrity; collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory bodies to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
4+ years of experience in financial controlling & auditing (preferably having experience in Big4: KPMG, EY, Deloitte, PwC).
Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost control,....
Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) is a plus.
Strong communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
