Senior Data Engineer
Build the data ecosystem powering millions of users, optimizing AI-driven products, and supporting decision-making across Product, AI, Backend, and Marketing squads.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for our app ecosystem
Develop and operate pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Composer/Airflow)
Build internal APIs/services to make data accessible across squads
Ensure data reliability, quality, and governance for multiple app platforms
Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices to automate deployment and monitoring of pipelines
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and turn business questions into scalable data solutions
Collaborate with Data Analysts and AI Engineers to integrate statistical models and A/B testing frameworks
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in modern data engineering with focus on lightweight, scalable systems
Strong in SQL (analytics engineering style) and Python (data APIs, pipeline development)
Hands-on with cloud-native platforms (preferably GCP: BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions)
Experience with real-time and event-driven pipelines for mobile/AI applications
Skilled in Data Build Tool or similar frameworks for lightweight data transformations
Comfortable with modern orchestration (Dagster, Prefect, or GCP Composer)
Experience deploying pipelines on serverless or containerized platforms
Nice To Have
Familiarity with modern analytical databases (ClickHouse, Snowflake, DuckDB, Apache Pinot)
Understanding of vector databases and embedding stores (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS)
Knowledge of data observability and quality tools (Great Expectations, elementary)
Proactive problem solver, curious about emerging AI/data tools
